Book of Ra deluxe 6
Book of Ra deluxe 6 is deluxe with an optional sixth reel. Pay the Extra Bet and the sixth reel joins the base game; once free games start, it stays active. Five-of-a-kind becomes six-of-a-kind, and the top results grow. Aggregators list a 95.03 % RTP and a maximum of about 10,180×.
How the sixth reel works
With Extra Bet off, deluxe 6 is a five-reel, ten-line game. With Extra Bet on, a sixth reel joins the base game, so lines can pay six of a kind and books get an extra place to land. If free games start while it is on, the sixth reel stays active for the whole feature.
Novomatic describes the sixth reel as available “in the base game only”, which refers to where you switch it on: you cannot buy it during free games, but it remains active through them. The book’s roles do not change — wild on lines, scatter anywhere, three or more for ten free games.
What changes in free games
The expanding symbol now has six reels to cover. An explorer chosen as the special symbol and landing on all six reels pays the six-of-a-kind value on every line, which is where the higher maximum of deluxe 6 comes from.
The six-of-a-kind values are in the game’s paytable, which updates when you toggle Extra Bet. We could not capture it ourselves because there is no official demo of deluxe 6, so we do not quote individual six-reel payouts here. Aggregators put the maximum win at about 10,180× the bet with the sixth reel active.
Is the Extra Bet worth it?
It raises both the cost per spin and the size of the best outcomes. It does not make the game safer: you lose your budget faster per spin, and the extra reel mainly adds to rare, large results. If your budget is small, play without it.

Deluxe 6 vs deluxe and Win Ways
Deluxe 6 keeps ten fixed lines and adds a reel; deluxe: Win Ways (2023) also has six reels but uses up to 117,649 ways instead of lines and adds reactions. They are different games with different RTPs (95.03 % vs 94.55 % listed).
If you like the original and want more potential, deluxe 6 is the natural step. If you want a modern ways-to-win game with the same theme, look at the Win Ways editions on the versions page.

Problems and what to do
Extra Bet is probably on. Switch it off in the control panel and check the total bet before spinning.
That depends on the Extra Bet setting; check it is still active before the next spin.
Not every operator offers it. Deluxe plays the same with five reels.
